In basic terms the Paleolithic diet refers to the the diet we used to eat as Hunter-Gatherer's in the Paleolithic era (stone age) before the Neolithic (agricultural age). It is also commonly known as the real-food diet, stone-age or caveman diet.
The 'modern' Paleolithic diet consists mainly of lean meat, fowl, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits and nuts, and excludes grains, legumes, dairy products, salt, sugar and processed foods.
