Workout: Filthy Fifty (Slighty Modified)

Workout: Filthy Fifty (Slighty Modified)

Complete all reps of one exercise before moving on, rest as required:

  • 50 Box Jumps (24 inch)
  • 50 Jump Pull-Ups
  • 50 Kettlebell Swings (16kg)
  • 50 Walking Lunges
  • 50 Knees-To-Elbows
  • 50 Push Press (20kg)
  • 50 Back Extensions
  • 50 Deadlifts (50kg)
  • 50 Burpees (1 push-up between each Burpee)
  • 50 Double Unders (or 250 single skips/jump rope)

Time:

  • Darryl : 33 minutes
  • Alex: 35 minutes

Note:

Please scale all Fitness Explorer workouts to your current ability.  Get adequate rest and sufficient nutrition to fuel the activity and aid recovery.  Work hard but never sacrifice correct form.

Who are you? 

Jeff Martone, a tactical athlete.
 

What is fitness to you? 

You have to be fit to fight. If what you do in the gym doesn't increase your performance (i.e. hit harder, last longer and make you more resilient) - then you're wasting time. 

What are your goals? 

My goals are to consistently improve athleticism and combative skill sets.

What is one of your main concerns in relation to health? 

People not looking to improve and maintain operational readiness for the long term.


What is your favourite exercise/activity?

Physical: Kettlebell Lifting

Spiritual: Bible Study

What is your favourite meal? 

All my wife's home-cooked meals!

What is fitness to you? 

The physical expression of my mid-life crisis.

What are your goals? 

To create small goals each week, nothing too big just baby steps.

What is one of your main concerns in relation to health? 

People fail themselves due to a poor mental attitude...  "Be the best or nothing"


What is your favourite exercise/activity?

Handstands

What is your favourite meal? 

Steak, salad and olives.

Warmup:

  • None
Workout:
 
Complete all reps of one exercise before moving on:
  • 50 Box Jumps
  • 50 Jump Pull-Ups
  • 50 Kettlebell Swings (16kg, or 18kg DumbBell)
  • 50 Walking Lunges
  • 50 Sit-Ups (feet supported, upper back not touching the floor)
  • 50 Push Press (20kg)
  • 50 Back Extensions
  • 50 Squat Clean & Press (12kg Kettlebell or 14kg DumbBell)
  • 50 Burpees (1 push-up in between each Burpee)
  • 50 Double Unders (or 200 single skips/jump rope)

Times:

  • Darryl : 23 minutes
  • Chris : 30 minutes (scaled)
  • Steve : 32 minutes
